Description/Palate
Aromas:
Bright fruit aromas of ripe citrus, pear, and apple are dominant,
filled out by oak spice and a bit of leesy character reminiscent of
roasted nuts.
Flavors: Lively and fresh with grapefruit, apple, and apricot
suggestions. Plenty of supple malo-lactic texture is supported by a
good balance of acidity and very fine length
Background
| Lodi
and Modesto vineyards were cropped at lower than average levels
(5.5—6.5 tons/acre). Consists of purchased production from
Lodi 45%, Modesto 31%, Clarksburg 10%, Mendocino 10%, Arroyo
Seco (Monterey County) 4%
Processing includes barrel fermentation (30%) and tank
fermentation (70%).
