Description/Palate
A blend of
thirteen grapes, Grenache is the major player here. The nose
displays black fruit, coffee, cedar and spice. Medium to
full-bodied, crisp, with easy tannins the wine is pretty tight right
now. Flavors mirror the nose, with a long aftertaste.
Background
Louis Bernard was
founded in the Rhône Valley in 1976 based on a totally unique
concept: an alliance between over 40 estates and an expert sales and
management team. Because the members of the executive team are also
wine specialists, a commitment to quality wine is maintained on
every level.
In the Rhone, Louis Bernard has probably
assembled more critically acclaimed wines in their portfolio than
any other exporter of the region.
Food Parings
A huge red wine for your most assertive dishes and seasoning. My
personal choice with Beef Burgundy or Cassoulet.
