Serving Hints
These wonderful liqueurs are incredibly rich and you have to keep that in mind when you serve them. They are best served well chilled and many will probably enjoy them best served over cracked ice in small quantities.

They are also very popular when introduced into other desert items such as vanilla ice cream with likor drizzled over it. We've had rave reviews about using the likor in fruit tarts and peach cobblers as well.

Origin
The famed Sherry producer Alvear is located in Montilla-Moriles and has produced stunning products since 1729. With 307 acres of vines, they have tremendous resources and the ability to tend their own vines with meticulous care resulting is extraordinary products.

 Description
We can do no better in describing this wine than this quote taken from Robert Parker Jr. after evaluating this product:

“The impressive 1927 Pedro Ximenez Solera, from a solera begun 80 years ago, boasts a dark amber color as well as an extraordinary nose of crème brulee, liquefied nuts, marmalade, and maple syrup. Huge and viscous, yet neither cloyingly sweet nor heavy, it is a profound effort…”

Parker rates this wonderful Sherry a 96!

Cellering
Sherry traditionally cellars for many years, mellowing and becoming more subtle in the process. This one will drink well longer than most of us will live.
